The Cream Rises and Falls

This was a sweet little jam that came out of nowhere. I don’t quite remember how it happened. I was browsing through Omnisphere 3 presets, then either came upon a bi-timbral patch, or found two patches I liked and set up the MIDI channels to play both of them at once.

Whatever I did, it’s very simple. Two sounds, a sustain pedal, and a whole lot of pitch-bending. I love pitch bends. They can be so magical.

They can also be a little tricky to play. I initially slipped in a few wrong notes when one would resolve out of key after the bend. But it wasn’t long before I was ready to press the record button and improvise this.
